HOW IT ALL STARTED.
It all began back in 2010 designing a set of women's bangles which were featured in ‘Grazia' magazine.
My skills and expertise in designing come from training for over 6 years at the prestigious London College of Fashion, graduating with a 1st class BA (Hons) at University College for the Creative Arts. These years spent studying gave me the foundations to build my brand upon.
Since then I have pursued a fulfilling career within the fashion industry and in the summer of 2020 I went full time with my brand. I found myself inspired to spread happiness to you all through my creations.
The range of accessories quickly grew and I went from designing bangles and headbands, to face masks in lockdown which kick started a new line ‘The Silk Collection’.
Combining my experience within visual merchandising and interior design 2020 saw the introduction of the new GBL Creative Services. An interior design services for those seeking inspiration for their homes, spaces and businesses. My desire to turn a space into something unique is a passion i’ve had for many years now.
What inspires me?
The inspiration behind many of the collections for Gemma Bishop London come from my love of travel. From our summers open in our family home in Spain, to far flung locations where I spent many summers running around in bright & colourful bikinis always accessorised with a beach bow.
When covid hit in 2020 and traveling took a temporary back seat my designs expanded into luxury homeware. In 2021 I launched the silk collection, which includes hair scrunchies, eye masks and house pillowcases. This collection is the most luxurious of the GBL categories and has a cult following with her followers & clients.
